Delivery

We are dedicated to delivering gift basket orders in a timely manner. The actual time and date your order is delivered is affected by the time of day your order is placed, the method of delivery or shipping you select, weather conditions, and whether the destination is a remote location. Our delivery policies explain the delivery options available to you and how we process orders.Gift Items Shipped Directly Inside Ottawa (and Immediate Surround areas) we deal with a local courier company.

Outside of Ottawa our gift basket items are shipped directly through Federal Express. At this time, we are unable to ship to PO boxes, hotels, or hospitals. Cut-off times for same-day shipment and available shipping options are Monday to Friday before 12:00 (noon) and for Saturday shipments order must be placed before Friday at 3:00 p.m . The date your order will be received will depend on the shipping date and the shipping method you select. Items shipped Fed Ex Ground can take 3 to 7 business days, and delivery dates are not guaranteed.

Items shipped Overnight or 2-Day are guaranteed to be delivered within that period. Please note that the guaranteed shipping options are based on business days, so an order shipped on a Friday by FedEx 2-Day would be delivered on the following Tuesday. Holiday Delivery Information Due to increased volume of gift orders being delivered during peak holiday periods, most basket retailers require flexible delivery dates during these times. For this reason we cannot offer our same-day delivery service during the following major holiday periods: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Easter, and Mother's Day. (Please Pre-Order to assure your gift will arrive in time).

Baskets of Smiles- Inventory Clause and Sales Tax

“Our inventory changes continuously, as we personalize and customize most of our gift baskets. In the event a particular item is not available we will substitute an item of equal or greater value in replacement as close to the original item as possible.”

“We are required by the laws of Ontario to charge Sales tax (both GST and PST) on all our gift baskets sold within Ontario, however if you require a basket to be shipped outside of Ontario No PST charges will be applied. The only time NO GST is to be charged is for items shipped out of Canada.”

Baskets of Smiles- Orders placement

We currently do not have a custom order form available on our website. You can place an order by e-mail to basketgirls@storm.ca or by telephone at 613-858-7225. We check our e-mail and voice messages frequently throughout the day, so please do not hesitate to leave us a message as we will respond to your request as soon as possible.

Invoice

Once your order has been completed we will generate an invoice with all details listed for your records.
**Please specify how you would like your invoice delivered (e-mail, regular mail, delivered at same time as gift basket).

Payment Options and instructions

Our current payment options are as follows: PayPal, Interact e-mail money transfer, cash, money order. * We may make acceptions for Corporate Cheques only (Please contact us for details).

PayPal

In order to pay with PayPal, you are required to have a PayPal account set up.
We are listed as baskets of smiles, and we will generate an invoice through PayPal for payment reference.

Step #1- Sign onto your online banking account
Step #2- Select “Transfer”
Step #3- Select the ‘Email Money Transfer’ option
Step #4- Follow Steps provided by your banking institution
Step #5- Make sure to note your full name or Invoice Number in the “Memo to Recipient” Section
Step #6- The email to send acknowledgement is: basketgirls@storm.ca
Step #7- Make sure to e-mail us at basketgirls@storm.ca the answer to the security question.
Step #8- Wait for an acknowledgment that the money has been received by us.
